Carragher: NO Man Utd, Liverpool, or Arsenal signings would make it in to Chelsea side

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that none of the signings made by Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, and his former club wouldn’t get in to Chelsea‘s side, he revealed in his Daily Mail column.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have only brought in two players this summer, both of whom are backups. Asmir Begovic and Radamel Falcao are both expected to be substitutes for the majority of the coming campaign. However, this hasn’t left them weaker than their rivals according to the Sky Sports pundit.

“The spree has clearly irritated Jose Mourinho but he should relax: not one of the players who his rivals have bought would get in Chelsea’s starting line-up,” said Carragher, “It doesn’t matter whether you are talking about Bastian Schweinsteiger, Raheem Sterling, Petr Cech or Christian Benteke; none of them are at a level where they would waltz into Stamford Bridge and take the place of those who helped Chelsea become champions last season.”

This is particularly surprising for the Red Devils. United have brought in Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero, Morgan Schneiderlin, and Memphis Depay in the current transfer window, spending over £50 million. Having won the Champions League and the World Cup in recent years, Schweinsteiger especially shown that he could help any side in the world.

The Blues play Swansea City in their first game of the season, and it will be seen then if their gamble to not make an y major signings has paid off.
