Despite signing Sergio Romero recently, United will still need a new stopper if their current number one departs. The Argentina international was second choice at Sampdoria and AS Monaco in the last two campaigns, and as such is likely a replacement for Victor Valdes.
This could leave a hole in the squad if De Gea goes to Real Madrid, which will need to be filled after his inspirational performances last time round. Oblak could be the man to make up for the defence’s failings if he is signed.
