Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger HITS BACK at Manchester United LEGEND

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hit back at criticism of his players from Manchester United legend Roy Keane, reports the Daily Star.

The former Old Trafford favourite claimed that the Gunners squad are ‘more interested in selfies and six packs’ than doing the hard work it will take to win the Premier League title. The North Londoners are among the favourites to take the trophy this season, but are hamstrung by the fact that they haven’t won it for over a decade.

“I have to say I didn’t really understand Roy’s argument,” said the Frenchman, “They are obsessed with themselves? No. They were on the plane. It’s 13 boring hours – you want to have fun. I am not a big fan of them but I don’t have any problem with it.”

Wenger has already picked up the Community Shield, which was celebrated with plenty of selfies from the team. As such it doesn’t look like they are having too detrimental an effect.

However, they may wish to get rid of any distractions in the pressure cauldron of a league title race. Having not been involved in one for such a long period of time the Gunners could do with any advantage they could get against their battle-hardened opponents Manchester City and Chelsea.
