Arsenal handed major injury boost as Jack Wilshere set for return to action ONE MONTH ahead of schedule

England midfielder Jack Wilshere is expected to be back in action sooner than expected for Arsenal, following reports in Mirror Sport that his injury is not as bad as first feared.

The 23-year-old was forced to miss the Community Shield victory over Chelsea at the start of the month after sustaining a hairline crack to his left fibula following an accidental clash in training with defender Gabriel Paulista and there were initial fears that he would miss up to eight weeks of action.

However, the Gunners star has received a huge boost after visiting a specialist who has played a key role in his recovery from numerous injuries over the past few years and has been told he will be fit enough to take his place in the squad for the home game against Stoke City on September 12.

The news will be a relief to Wilshere and the club’s supporters as many have been hoping this will be the season in which the midfielder steers clear of injuries in order to finally fulfill his undoubted his potential.
