Diego Costa parties in Ibiza just hours after Chelsea drop points in season opener

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has risked the wrath of manager Jose Mourinho by taking an holiday just one game into the new Barclays Premier League season, Mail Sport reports.

Despite failing to find the back of the net in the Blues 2-2 draw against Swansea City on the opening day of the 2015-16 campaign, the Spanish international clearly felt the need to celebrate his return to fitness in style and he jetted out to Ibiza and partied with the likes of Benny Benassi.

Costa was initially a major doubt for the game at Stamford Bridge after missing the final two games of pre-season with a recurrence of the hamstring injury that disrupted his debut campaign in England, but he was able to last the entire 90 minutes as the Premier League holders dropped points.

While Mourinho gave his whole squad two days off following the disappointing draw, he could be a little disappointed that his star striker decided to travel to Ibiza instead of resting ahead of their crucial fixture against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
