Radamel Falcao insists he’s adapting to life with new club Chelsea

Radamel Falcao will spend the 2015-16 season on loan at Chelsea, and insists that his slow start to life with the reigning Premier League champions is down to the settling in process.

The Colombia striker says that he is nurturing an on-pitch understanding with his new team-mates, which will only come as his playing time increase.

“I think it will take me a little bit longer to fully understand everything because you need to play in a team to get to know everyone and all the processes of the team,” as quoted by talkSPORT.

“Through pre-season I have started to know those things and, with more games and minutes, I will learn even more and we will get to know each other better.”

Falcao appeared for the Blues in the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal and came on in the 84th minute in the 2-2 draw against Swansea City on the opening day of the Premier League season – and is yet to impress.

With the fitness of Diego Costa a concern – despite his 90 minute display at Stamford Bridge on Saturday – Falcao may be called upon more times than expected in their title-defending campaign.
