Chelsea secure work permit for talented £6.7m-rated promising Brazilian winger

Chelsea are clear to complete the signing of highly-rated Brazilian youngster Kenedy after finally securing a work permit, Mail Sport reports.

The 19-year-old was impressive during the Blues’ pre-season tour of the United States last month as he was handed a start against Liga BBVA champions Barcelona and done enough to convince manager Jose Mourinho that he is capable of playing for one of the biggest clubs in European football.

The reigning champions of England had agreed a £6.7million deal with Brazilian outfit Fluminense earlier in the summer, however, they have been forced to wait until obtaining a work permit before announcing a deal for the winger.

Kenedy is poised to become Mourinho’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of compatriot Nathan, Radamel Falcao, Asmir Begovic and Danilo Pantic at Stamford Bridge during the current transfer window.

Should Kenedy be handed a first team role this season, he will increase the South American influence at the club which includes the likes of Oscar, Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Brazil-born striker Diego Costa.
