Man City ‘aim to beat Man United to £57m La Liga pair’ in stunning transfer swoop to ANGER fierce rivals

City look set to sign two of United’s long-term targets.

Manchester City are being strongly linked with two major upsets in the transfer market in today’s reports, with Manchester United the club to miss out.

The Premier League runners-up are in need of strengthening after failing to retain their title last season, and it looks like they will try to upset their bitter rivals United in the process with a £57m double swoop for two top La Liga players.

Both have been strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford for much of this summer, but may now make their way to the Etihad Stadium:

1) Pedro (Barcelona)

In a £22m move, City could hijack United’s deal to sign want-away Barcelona winger Pedro this summer, with the Spanish international an ideal buy for the club as a cheap alternative to Kevin De Bruyne.
