Manchester United look almost certain to miss out on the signing of Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos this summer as the Spanish international is expected to finally sign a new contract with his current club next week.
The World Cup-winning defender would have been an ideal buy for the Red Devils, if a little expensive at £58m, but it seems he will be staying put at the Bernabeu after a long-drawn-out contract saga.
Ramos had been keen to land a pay rise, and it now looks he has agreed terms to continue his long association with Los Blancos, according to the Guardian.
