Manchester United transfer target handed start for Barcelona in Supercopa first-leg

Manchester United transfer target Pedro has been named in the Barcelona starting XI for their Spanish Supercopa first-leg tie against Athletic Bilbao.

The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the current transfer window, but he has been rewarded for his winning goal in the UEFA Super Cup final against fellow Liga BBVA side Sevilla in midweek with a start at the San Mames.

Take a look at the team that Barca manager Luis Enrique has chosen for the game:

Following his goal against Sevilla, Pedro is currently on 99 goals for the Catalan giants and will be hoping to hit the century mark before he completes a possible move to Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old is in the team due to the absence of Neymar, who usually occupies the left-wing role alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in attack, and this could prove to be Pedro’s farewell appearance in Barca colours.
