Chelsea struggled to get in to their match against Manchester City in the first half and went in at the break 1-0 down to a Sergio Aguero goal.
Manager Jose Mourinho was clearly unhappy with this. The Portuguese took off his captain, John Terry, during the break. It is unknown if the move was tactical or the 34-year-old had felt an injury, but he certainly looked unhappy with the situation while sitting on the bench in the second period.
Kurt Zouma came on for the former England international, but little changed defensively. The pace of Raheem Sterling, Jesus Navas, and Sergio Aguero continued to trouble the Blues’ back line throughout.

This got people talking on Twitter, with many questioning why the player was taken off. Terry was ever present last season, but it has only taken until the second game this time round for that record to end. Could it also be the beginning of Terry’s eventual decline?

John Terry plays every minute last season. Then he gets subbed today when there’s no Eva for him to leer at. Coincidence? I think not. #CFC
