Thomas Muller to Manchester United: Red Devils table £60m bid and staggering £1m-per-month contract with forward KEEN

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller is said to be keen on a move to Manchester United, but the Germany international may have to hand in a transfer request to be granted an Allianz Arena exit.

According to the Daily Star, United are willing to offer Muller £1million-per-month and have made an offer of £60million for his signature.

A club source told Starsport, “He is the one the club wants more than anyone else.

“With him in the side, United could genuinely challenge for major honours again and they are willing to break the bank to get him.

“But he will have to force the issue himself and make it clear he wants to leave Bayern. It is all down to him now.”

The 25-year-old is rumoured to be keen on a reunion with Louis van Gaal, the United manager and former Bayern boss, with Muller open in confessing that he has a ‘special’ relationship with the Dutchman.

What’s more, with Schweinsteiger at Old Trafford, the midfielder could persuade his international team-mate to end his 15 years of service to the Bavarians.

The Daily Star claim that the Bundesliga giants are unsurprisingly hesitant over selling another superstar in the summer window following Bastian Schweinsteiger’s sale to the Red Devils; perhaps concerned that it could send a worrying message to their rivals.

Muller, therefore, may have to hand in a transfer request if he is serious about moving to the Theatre of Dreams.

Having lost out on Barcelona‘s Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea, United still appear to be keen on strengthening their attack, and there could yet be more arrivals in Manchester before the close of the summer market.
