DONE DEAL: Arsenal agree season-long loan deal for Brazilian wonderkid dubbed ‘new Neymar’

Arsenal have confirmed highly-rated youngster Wellington Silva will spend the 2015/16 season on-loan at Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers.

The Gunners revealed the news via their official website on Thursday evening and the young Brazilian, who has been dubbed as the ‘new Neymar’ in the past, will get his first taste of English football after numerous loan spells across Europe.

The 22-year-old signed for the North London giants from Brazilian club Fluminese in the 2011 January transfer window, but is yet to make his first-team debut for the Gunners as work permit issues have denied him that chance.

Wellington was granted EU citizenship during his loan spell with Almeria in La Liga last season as he made 31 league appearances, but was unable to register a goal as the club were relegated from Spain’s top flight.

He could now make his debut for the Trotters at the weekend as Nottingham Forest are the visitors to the Macron Stadium and the hosts will be looking to record their first goals and points of the new season.
