Eero Markkanen took to Twitter to respond to Real Madrid when the club released him for reportedly being overweight.

As reported by the Mirror, the attacker has been axed from the Bernabeu for being too heavy.

The 24-year-old featured for Real Madrid’s Castilla team, under the guidance of Zinedine Zidane, but has been released for not matching up to the club’s high physical standards.

The Mirror report that the player weighed 18kgs, which is apparently too heavy to be of any use to Zizou’s finely-tuned troops.

6ft 5 Markkanen—nicknamed The Tank—took to Twitter to respond to his axe, and clearly appears to have taken Real’s decision in good spirits…

…either that, or he’s turned to snack food in order to drown his sorrows!

The towering striker, who has featured for the Finland national side, featured for JJK and AIK, before moving to Real in 2014.

He made his international debut in 2014, and has already featured for the Finns in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
