Liverpool are planning a move for Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, reports the Metro.
The Reds are going to make a £14.5 million bid for the midfielder, who could add more creativity to Brendan Rodgers’s side in the middle of the park. Last season, the 26-year-old managed only three goals and four assists in 28 Bundesliga matches as BVB struggled in Jurgen Klopp’s final year at the club.
However, the Armenia international was far more impressive in the campaign before, with nine goals and ten assists coming in 31 league matches. It is likely this form that has the Merseyside outfit interested in his signature, and they could believe that he can take some of the burden from Philippe Coutinho’s shoulders in the final third.
