Real Madrid plan to unveil Manchester United goalkeeper as new signing on Tuesday

David De Gea‘s much-anticipated transfer from Manchester United to Liga BBVA giants Real Madrid looks set to be resolved on Monday according to reports in Spain.

Spanish publication AS suggest the 24-year-old could complete his move to the Santiago Bernabeu as early as next week as the club are confident they will get the deal done before Monday’s transfer deadline day and hope to present the player to supporters the next day.

The Red Devils stopper has not featured in any of the club’s first five games of the new season as manager Louis van Gaal has opted for new signing Sergio Romero in between the sticks whilst De Gea’s future is resolved.

It remains to be seen what fee United will accept for De Gea as reports in the week said Los Blancos were confident that a bid in the region of £30million would be enough, although the Premier League side have reportedly been holding out for £5million extra.

Should De Gea depart Old Trafford next week, then it would leave United with 24 hours to bring in a replacement or they could stick with Romero, who has kept four clean sheets in five appearances, as their number one keeper for the remainder of the season.
