Former Liverpool player Phil Thompson has never been the most impartial of pundits, and he is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve.
The 61-year-old, during his weekend shift on Soccer Saturday, was informed of the news that Liverpool had fallen 1-0 down to West Ham United within three minutes of kick-off, and he was none too happy!

30 minutes into the match, Liverpool are in grave trouble.
They conceded early on when Hammers newboy Manuel Lanzini found the net following an assist from Aaron Cresswell, before doubling their lead through midfield stalwart Mark Noble on 29 minutes.
Now 2-0 down, it will take an awful lot for Liverpool to turn this clash around, and questions will surely be asked of Brendan Rodgers.
The Reds managed to secure a point away at Arsenal, but were unconvincing during tight victories over Liverpool and Bournemouth.
