DONE DEAL: Man City sign Kevin De Bruyne for club record fee

Manchester City have completed the signing of highly-rated Belgian playmaker Kevin De Bruyne from Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg.

The current leaders of the Barclays Premier League confirmed the deal via their official Twitter account on Sunday afternoon and the 24-year-old becomes manager Manuel Pellegrini’s fourth major signing of the summer transfer window.

The fee is undisclosed at the moment, but speculation in the media [via Mail Sport] suggest the Citizens have broken their club record once again by splashing out £52million on the attacking midfielder.

De Bruyne returns to English football 19 months after leaving Chelsea following a frustrating spell under Jose Mourinho and the Belgian international has been in brilliant form for Die Wolfe in that period.

Last season he registered 20 assists in the league and also scored in their DFB-Pokal final win over Borussia Dortmund.
