Manchester United are preparing a deadline day offer for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, with the Bundesliga giants reportedly willing to listen to offers for the Netherlands international following the arrival of Douglas Costa.
This report comes from Fichajes [via the Express], as they state that the Bavarians would be open to selling Robben, and Louis van Gaal, the United manager, is set to – once more – attempt to persuade his compatriot to head to Manchester.
Van Gaal tried to sign the 31-year-old last summer, but the forward spurned the chance to leave the Allianz Arena; however, with his playing time likely to dwindle significantly this season, he could be considering an exit.
Van Gaal is said to be desperate to strengthen his attack in the final hours of the summer window after selling Javier Hernandez to Bayer Leverkusen and sending Adnan Januzaj on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

However, with Bastian Schweinsteiger having made the move to Old Trafford in July, whether Pep Guardiola, the Bayern manager, would be open to strengthening the Red Devils even further, remains to be seen.
