The REAL reason David De Gea’s Real Madrid transfer fell through REVEALED

With Real Madrid and Man United now at loggerheads over which side were to blame for David De Gea’s failed summer transfer the Daily Express believes the real reason for the collapse of the move relates to Bernabeu keeper Keylor Navas.

The 28-year-old Costa Rican international was set to move to Old Trafford as part of the deal that would have seen De Gea move back to his hometown but complications over his contract and medical caused the delay that ultimately put an end to the deadline-day deal.

Navas was set to board a plane to Old Trafford to undergo a medical only to then be told that this should take place in Madrid.

The former Levante goalkeeper then completed his medical and signed documents at 10.30pm on Monday night, 90 minutes before the Spanish transfer window closed, however Navas’s legal team then queried some elements of the contract before they were faxed off and this caused a further delay that meant that the contracts were not completed in time.
