Arsenal transfers: Gunners ‘scouting Serie A youngster compared with Fabio Cannavaro’

Arsenal keep tabs on huge talent.

Arsenal have been credited with an interest in signing Juventus defender Daniele Rugani after sending scouts to watch him play in recent times.

The Gunners could do with strengthening in defence due to a lack of depth in that area, and Rugani is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in Italy in that position.

The 21-year-old has also attracted some interest from Napoli due to not always being a regular for Juventus, though talkSPORT now report that he is unlikely to be sold anytime soon.

His agent Davide Torchia said: “The club always told me that they believed in the youngster and that if somebody in their starting defence had some trouble, he could cut out his own space.

“They told me they wouldn’t give him away to anyone and I have to say they’ve been true to their word.”
