Manchester United star has ‘no chance’ of redemption despite being in Premier League squad

Manchester United star Victor Valdes has no chance of making it back in to their first team plans, according to the Daily Express.

The 33-year-old hasn’t been given a squad number and hasn’t been included in their Champions League squad. He was given some hope by being named in their Premier League squad though, and with David De Gea’s situation still unknown he may have been able to get a chance in the side.

However, this is not so, with the Spaniard still in Louis van Gaal’s bad books. He was only included in the Premier League list to conform to the rules around how many goalkeepers must be put in.

The former Barcelona man has been accused of refusing to play in the Under 21s side by his manager, and it seems this will eventually cause the end of his Old Trafford career. This is despite him being considered a better goalkeeper than Sergio Romero, who has started every match of the season so far. Valdes’ Champions Leaguecould also have been invaluable as the team return to the competition.
