Arsenal forward delighted with brace for England in 6-0 drubbing of San Marino

Theo Walcott was pleased to net a brace for the England national team in their 6-0 thrashing of international minnows San Marino on Saturday evening.

The Arsenal forward began the game in Serravalle on the bench, but replaced club teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after 67 minutes and then got on the scoresheet with his very first touch, before scoring again 10 minutes later.

It was the 26-year-old’s first goals of the new season and it will surely boost his confidence after he came in for criticism from a selection of Gunners supporters following his performance playing as a centre-forward in the 1-0 win over Newcastle United last weekend.

However, Walcott responded in the best way possible with a double against San Marino and he gave his reaction to England’s official Twitter account via the video clip below:

Walcott’s two goals could possibly earn him a start in the Three Lions next game against Switzerland at Wembley on Tuesday night, where a point will be enough to see them qualify for Euro 2016 as winners of Group E.
