Manchester United target subject of £110m summer bid

Posted by

It has been revealed by the Daily Star that PSG made a £110 million bid for Real Madrid star and Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo.

This will be a blow for the Red Devils, who will now have to compete with the riches of the Parisian club for his signature. That is if Los Merengues are willing to sell their star player at all.

The Spanish side rejected the offer from the Ligue 1 champions, although they are keen to try again next summer. By then the player will be 31-years-old, and as such a massive money offer may be enough to entice Los Blancos in to selling before their player depreciates in value.

Meanwhile, United have also been linked with a move for Gareth Bale, who may be a better investment as he is over four years younger than the two-time Ballon d’Or winner. Fans booed the Welshman last season, and if that continues then Louis van Gaal may be able to entice him away from the Bernabeu.
