Chelsea striker Izzy Brown, who was the latest Blues player to seal a season-long loan move to Vitesse in the summer, has revealed that the Blues have the option to recall him in January should they be short of firepower in a few months time.
Diego Costa appears to be some way off his best, while Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy could struggle to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge this season.
Some fresh blood, therefore, could be just what Jose Mourinho needs when the Premier League really gets down to business over the festive period.
Brown told publication Voetbal International: “It seems that I will stay here for a full year, but Chelsea can recall me in January and Vitesse can also send me back,” as quoted by the Daily Express.
