Gareth Bale unmoved by Man United; he’s targeting the BIGGEST personal accolade of all at Real Madrid, reveals agent

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale was – and still is – heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, with reports even claiming that the Red Devils are confident that the world’s most expensive player will walk out at Old Trafford in the near future.

While the rumour mill continues to spin, Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has addressed the speculation, which – as expected – is not good news for United and its supporters.

Barnett has claimed that not only is his client not interested in the slightest at leaving the Santiago Bernabeu, but he has not even come close to an exit – despite enduring a difficult last season in which he was at the centre of anger from the Real faithful.

In a speech to the Soccerex Convention, Barnett said: “He has come nowhere near being transferred in the past few months,” as quoted by the London Evening Standard.

“It is all stupid paper talk. He is very happy at Real Madrid and hopefully he will stay there for the rest of his career. He is loving it there.”

In what could upset the ego of Cristiano Ronaldo, Barnett also insists that Los Blancos view Bale as central to their plans, and want him to be their ‘main man’.

“Gareth is at the biggest club in the world and he’s going to be the biggest player in the world.

“Real Madrid have made it very clear that he is, or will be, their main player and that’s the way it’s going to stay.”

And it doesn’t stop there, as Bale is said to have targeted the Ballon d’Or.

“The next few years are going to be very exciting for him. I don’t think he will play anywhere else, but you never know. Certainly I don’t think he will come back to England to play but you never know.

“At the moment he is very happy. He wants to win the Ballon d’Or and with Real Madrid he has got a great chance.”
