Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed he sees the £36m fee that the club paid to sign Anthony Martial as “ridiculous”.
The French youngster arrived from as Monaco on deadline day in a surprise move, and it has even emerged that his fee could end up rising to as high as £58m.
According to Sky Sports, Van Gaal agrees with the view that the fee was too high, saying: “It was a ridiculous amount of money, but it’s the crazy world we are in.
