£727m!? Real Madrid reveal what it would take to sign Manchester United target

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed what it would take to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, reports Cadena Cope [via Daily Star].

Manchester United and PSG have both been linked with moves for the 30-year-old. However, Los Merengues don’t seem too interested in selling the two-time Ballon d’Or winner, stating that it will take €1000 million to prise the forward away from the Bernabeu.

“He has a contract and we want him to stay, but nothing in life is certain,” said Perez, “Today, Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo, it is impossible. He is the best player in the world and the most emblematic.

“If PSG want him, it is very easy. If they pay the €1000m (£727m) buy-out clause, they will have him.”

Although the former Red Devil is yet to score for club or country this season, he is still one of the best players in the world. However, now in to his thirties, it may be the best time for the La Liga outfit to sell the Portugal international while they can still get a hefty transfer fee.

United may not be looking to bring in another expensive forward now though, having just signed Anthony Martial from AS Monaco. The Parisian side will be on the lookout for a player to help them challenge for the Champions League after tying up Ligue 1.
