Perez comments on interesting rumour.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a move to bring Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho back as manager at the Bernabeu, according to sources in Spain.

Mourinho had a mixed spell in charge of the La Liga giants, winning one title but generally under-achieving in the Champions League and suffering some big defeats to Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona.

The Portuguese coach is also struggling to get Chelsea back to their best this season, but Perez has been quick to insist he will not bring him back to the Spanish capital.

“I have no intention of re-signing him, although he did give us an important step up in terms of quality,” Perez is quoted in Marca. “Before him, we struggled to make it past the last sixteen in Europe and that wasn’t good enough.”
