Sky Sports pundit insists NEITHER manager can afford defeat in Manchester United vs Liverpool clash

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp insists Louis van Gaal and Brendan Rodgers are both under pressure ahead of the huge Manchester United vs Liverpool clash on Saturday evening.

Both clubs head into the game at Old Trafford on the back of disappointing defeats against Swansea City and West Ham United respectively during the round of Premier League fixtures before the international break.

The two giants of English football have made almost identical starts to the new campaign as they both began the season with back-to-back 1-0 victories before being held to goalless draws in game-week three of the new season and this weekend’s clash has taken on added importance due to their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Redknapp, who played for the Merseyside outfit during his playing days, insists the game at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ is a must-win for both managers:

“The pressure will ramp up on Louis van Gaal or Brendan Rodgers if they lose on Saturday night, he told Sky Sports.
