Red Devils in talks with world class performer.

Manchester United are progressing well in talks to make one of their most important signings for a long time – the contract extension of goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Red Devils looked like losing the Spanish international to Real Madrid during the summer, but late drama on deadline day meant the transfer did not go through in time due to a delay in handing over documentation.

According to BBC Sport, De Gea could now make a stunning u-turn and sign a new contract at Old Trafford, and is likely to put pen to paper on a deal worth a whopping £200,000 per week.

It remains to be seen if that would fully put the Real Madrid saga to bed, with the Bernabeu outfit well known for their strong pursuit of the world’s best players.
