Both played a crucial role in the goals scored at the Emirates Stadium as Coquelin superbly won the ball back in the build up to Theo Walcott’s opener, before Cazorla provided an assist for Olivier Giroud to seal the club’s first home win of the season.
The Spaniard, who has captained the side in the absence of Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker in the last three games, spoke to the club’ official website after the clash against the Potters and heaped praise on his midfield partner:
“It’s amazing playing with him,” he said.
“He’s helped me a lot. He plays well, he defends well and I think he’s one of the best players in this position.”
“We are lucky because he plays for Arsenal and I enjoy it a lot with him in this position,” Cazorla added.
