Liverpool fans create funding page to raise money for Brendan Rodgers’ departure

Brendan Rodgers appears to be under huge pressure from Liverpool supporters as a GoFundMe page has been created in order to raise enough money to sack him as manager, Mirror Sport reports.

The club’s 3-1 defeat against bitter rivals Manchester United last Saturday appears to have been the final straw among a selection of Reds supporters and they have decided to take drastic action in the hopes of seeing the Northern Irishman relieved of his duties as manager of the club.

Rodgers is yet to win a trophy since being appointed in the summer of 2012 and his transfer policy is under the microscope having spent well over £200million during his tenure, however, only a handful can be deemed as a success.

He came extremely close to delivering a first league title in over two decades for the club in the 2013-14 season, but has since gone backwards as he failed to inspire his players to a top four finish last year.

Following the loss at Old Trafford, Liverpool sit ninth in the table and it appears patience is beginning to fade on Merseyside.
