(Video) DAMNING STAT provides reason for Arsenal optimism after Zagreb disaster

Arsene Wenger’s worst nightmare is becoming reality as Arsenal’s 2015-16 campaign runs into trouble.

The Gunners were poor on Wednesday evening as they fell to an unexpected 2-1 defeat away at Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

With their Group F rivals Bayern Munich thrashing Olympiakos 3-0, Arsenal may find themselves in trouble if they fail to beat the Greek side in their next European fixture.

Similarly, while the Gunners were poor and toothless, they were also undisciplined, with Olivier Giroud sent off on 40 minutes for a second yellow card.

With Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere both injured, Wenger can ill afford to lose another key offensive threat, leaving him with Theo Walcott as something of a sole offensive option.

However, perhaps Wenger will find some comfort when he questions whether Giroud—who will now face a suspension—is really a major loss.

Indeed, this stat from Squawka would suggest that perhaps Arsenal won’t be missing too much in the Frenchman’s absence and, indeed, could actually be more effective with another frontman leading the line.
