PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno has apologized to Luke Shaw for the tackle that left the Man United full-back with a double fracture.

The England international was injured in a challenge that occurred in the 15th minute of Man United’s Champions League clash on Tuesday night which led to Shaw being stretchered off.

“I feel really sorry for him and I feel really bad because I know how it’s like.

“This happened to me as well during the World Cup [vs Netherlands]. I want to wish him all the best, but it wasn’t my intention to injure him. I’d rather had it didn’t happen.” Moreno is reported as stating via Goal.com.
