It has been revealed that Arsenal star Mikel Arteta was among the worst players on the pitch against Dinamo Zagreb.
The Gunners lost 2-1 to the Croatian side on Wednesday night. An own goal from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain coupled with a Junior Fernandes header from a poorly defended corner were enough to see off the North Londoners. Even a late goal from Theo Walcott wasn’t enough to inspire a comeback from Arsene Wenger’s side.

The manager had made six changes from the side which beat Stoke City 2-0 on weekend, with all who came in to the side struggling somewhat. Mathieu Debuchy and David Ospina had notably bad games, but it was the former Everton man who really disappointed at the Stadion Maksimir. He failed to make a single meaningful contribution to the match.

The defeat pus Arsenal on the back foot in their attempts to beat Bayern Munich to first place in their Champions League group. They won’t want to come in second and get a tough draw for the last 16, having been knocked out by this every year since the 2009-10 season.
