CONFIRMED Tottenham XI for Europa League opener against Qarabag; summer signings handed debuts & Kane left on the bench

The Tottenham Hotspur starting XI for their Europa League opener against Qarabag tonight has been announced and it’s a fairly strong team selection by manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Details of the team was announced via the club’s official Twitter account in the build up to the clash at White Hart Lane as the likes of Andros Townsend and new signings Kieran Trippier, Kevin Wimmer and Son Heung-ming are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the north London begin this season’s European adventure with victory at the first time of asking.

Take a look at the team in full below:

There had been talk that Harry Kane would start the game as he looks to get off the mark for Spurs this season after going five club games without finding the net, but did help himself to a brace for the England national team against San Marino and Switzerland during the last international break.

However, he has been named on the substitutes bench alongside another new addition Clinton N’Jie.
