Blues set sights on impressive La Liga star as top January target.
Chelsea have reportedly made Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya one of their main targets for the January transfer window, but it surely points to a radical change of philosophy.
The 20-year-old is a superb young talent who has caught the eye of a number of big clubs in recent times, but he would surely become an automatic starter on Chelsea’s left-hand side if the Daily Star‘s report is correct.
This means Cesar Azpilicueta’s position would be under major threat, with the Spaniard already moving onto the right-hand side in this week’s Champions League win over Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Although Azpilicueta may be a good option in that area, it remains to be seen if he can keep his place ahead of Branislav Ivanovic, who is a world class player despite his recent blip.
