Emirates Stadium boss targets two forwards.

Having seen his Arsenal side score just five times in six Premier League fixtures, two of those coming via own goals, Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on two possible January transfer additions to boost his Gunners attack.

The Daily Mirror believe Arsenal will battle Chelsea in pursuit of FC Sion forward Moussa Konate.

The 22-year-old Senegal international finished as the second top-scorer during the 2012 London Olympic Football tournament and has proven a success since moving to Switzerland in 2014, scoring 20 goals in his debut season and bagging seven goals in all competitions this term.

The Daily Star has linked the North London side with a January move for Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi.

The 21-year-old Belgian is into his second season in France and has proven a success in Ligue 1, scoring 12 goals in just 11 starts over the course of the past year and a bit.

Arsene Wenger has alternated between Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott in Premier League action this term and whilst neither player has been in inspired form one wonders if either of the targets referenced would provide any real competition to the French and England internationals?
