Wenger lines up what could be first of many Arsenal transfers in January.

Despite a quiet summer on the Arsenal transfers front, it looks like manager Arsene Wenger is looking to rectify the situation in the January transfer window.

According to the Metro, the Gunners want to sign highly-rated Leeds United right-back Sam Byram ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Southampton and Swansea City.

The defender is a huge talent and has been linked with top clubs before, but Arsenal now hope to win the race for his signature as they look to add some depth to their options at the back.
