Chelsea striker Diego Costa could face three match ban for Laurent Koscielny incident

Chelsea forward Diego Costa could be hit with a three match ban following his involvement in the fracas with Arsenal pair Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel Paulista according to the Daily Telegraph.

26-year-old Brazilian born Spanish international Costa appeared to hit French defender Koscielny twice during an incident in the penalty box and then clashed with Gabriel, leading to the Arsenal centre-back being sent off.

Whether Costa faces censure or not depends on whether referee Mike Dean admits he failed to see the Chelsea man strike Koscielny and whether he would have sent off the Blues star if he had done.

Dean’s report is due on Monday and if Costa is found guilty of violent conduct then he will be hit with a three match ban.
