Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma made some interesting observations following his side’s contentious win over Arsenal on the weekend.

The Frenchman, who netted the opener at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, was very open in his assessment of team-mate Diego Costa, who was involved in the first-half fracas that resulted in defender Gabriel Paulista’s sending off.

When asked by BeIN Sport’s Carrie Brown whether he was surprised by Gabriel’s reaction to Costa’s provocation Zouma stated;

“No, we’re not surprised because we know Diego. Everyone knows Diego and this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponent out of his game.”

“That happened in the game but he’s a really nice guy. We’re proud to have him, like the other players, and we’re happy to win this game today.”
