Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho publicly reveals interest in signing Arsenal players

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho appears to have turned to ‘mind games’ following his side’s 2-0 win over Arsenal over the weekend with the Portuguese boss declaring his liking for the North London side’s players.

Mourinho doesn’t usually need much encouragement when it comes to mocking or attacking Arsene Wenger and following Chelsea’s victory over the Gunners the ‘Special One’ was at it once again.

“I think Arsenal have the squad to be champions. And every season I feel that.” Mourinho stated as per the Daily Mail, clearly with a view to embarrassing Wenger’s inability to secure major titles with the side he has put together.

Mourinho then took things up a notch by declaring:

“I like every player from Arsenal,

“I tell you, if one of their players is a free agent and they don’t want him there, I get every one. I like all of their players.”

Chelsea to field John Terry in second string XI for Capital One Cup tie with Walsall

Jose Mourinho perhaps deserves to gloat given the level of scrutiny he has come under following his side’s poor start to the campaign, and back-to-back wins in the Champions League and Premier League action may have got the West London side back on course once again.

Chelsea’s weekend win saw Mourinho’s side collect their first clean sheet of the Premier League campaign, and this came without captain John Terry, who was benched.

The pairing of Gary Cahill and youngster Kurt Zouma, who bagged the opening goal, proved very effective and, as such, skipper Terry may well have a fight on his hands to force his way back into Mourinho’s plans.

Chelsea will hope to make it three wins on the trot as they take on League One Walsall on Wednesday night in a Capital One Cup clash which will see Jose Mourinho field a much-changed side (via Daily Mirror) which would offer under-performing fringe players the chance to impress.
