Real Madrid ready to pay €35m need to re-sign Alvaro Morata: Juventus forward set for Bernabeu transfer

Real Madrid are ready to pay the €35m needed to trigger the clause to re-sign Juventus forward Alvaro Morata according to El Chiringuito (via Goal.com).

The 22-year-old left the Bernabeu for Turin back in July 2014 and has proven a success in Italy and is now strongly linked with a move back to the Spanish capital.

Morata made 20 starts in all competitions for Juventus last season and netted 13 goals and provided five assists to help Massimiliano Allegri’s side to a Serie A title and netted in both legs of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid to book passage to the final of the competition, which they then lost to Barcelona.

Karim Benzema currently acts as Real Madrid’s first choice central striking weapon and Morata would presumably not be open to a move back to hometown club just to sit on the bench.

Prior to moving to Italy Morata had been something of a bit-part player at Real Madrid but was still a consistent goal-scorer, netting ten goals in just eight La Liga starts for the Spanish giants.
