Incredible – could this really happen?

England want Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola as their replacement for Roy Hodgson, according to a shock report today.

The Spanish tactician, who won the treble with Barcelona back in 2008/09, is widely regarded as the best football manager in the world at the moment after an incredibly trophy-laden career.

Manchester United and Manchester City are both thought to be keen on appointing him in the future, but The Sun now report that the Three Lions want to lure him into the Wembley hot seat in what would be a hugely ambitious move.

England have previously tried for big names like Jose Mourinho, but the national team’s lack of talent in comparison to many other nations has not made them the most appealing proposition for bigger names.
