Theo Walcott: Expect Alexis Sanchez to score many, many more important goals

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has moved to praise Chilean team-mate Alexis Sanchez following his hat-trick against Leicester City, the England man claiming there is a lot more to come from the former Barcelona man according to the Daily Star.

Sanchez enjoyed a stellar debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, but things haven’t gone quite to plan this term and this may well be down to the fact that the South American didn’t get much of a summer break on account of his participation in Chile’s triumphant Copa America win.

However the cultured forward got back into gear during Arsenal’s 5-2 thumping of Leicester City on Saturday, Sanchez bagging an impressive hat-trick.

Fellow forward Theo Walcott believes Gunners fans can expect more of the same in the coming weeks, stating;

“I am sure he is going to flourish now with many, many more important goals. It has been a long time coming, he knows that himself. But he is very pleased,”

“He is a top-quality player and even when he is not scoring goals he works so hard for us. He tracks back and does a lot for the team.” Walcott added.

Arsenal face Olympiakos in Champions League action in midweek and then play host to Man United in a key Premier League clash next weekend.
