Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho: I am confused and very concerned

Chelsea continue to struggle for form as Jose Mourinho’s side look to mount a push to retain their Premier League title and the Blues boss is understandably concerned as the position his side finds themselves in.

It had looked as if the Stamford Bridge side had turned a corner following successive wins over Maccabi Tel Aviv, Arsenal and Walsall but Chelsea then failed to overcome struggling Newcastle United on the weekend with second half goals from subs Ramires and Willian sparing their blushes as they picked up a 2-2 draw at St James’ Park.

“I am very concerned,” Mourinho stated in the post-match press conference (via the Daily Star).

“I do not understand it and I do not accept it.”

“I did not know which decisions to make,”

“There were six players I could have taken off.

“I wanted to make six substitutions. That is how bad we were.

On his side’s chances of stemming the tide Mourinho went on to add;

“If we play like we did in the second half, we can win every match this season,” he said.

“But if we play like we did in the first, then we can lose every match.

“I am confused and do not understand why we were so poor.”
