Liverpool to challenge La Liga and Serie A pair for South American attacker signing

Liverpool will challenge Valencia and Inter Milan in a January pursuit to sign PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi according to Spanish source Fichajes.

Brendan Rodgers had attempted to land the experienced Argentine over the summer but no deal was forthcoming but the chances of the former Napoli leaving in January are high as the 30-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and this could leave the Ligue 1 side keen to garner something of a sale of the attacker when the transfer window reopens.

The 30-year-old has started just two of PSG’s opening eight Ligue 1 matches this term with the arrival of Man United flop Angel Di Maria severely restricting his involvement in Laurent Blanc’s plans.
