Sacking Jose Mourinho would cost Chelsea £30m: Blues boss set for massive pay-out if he is axed

Chelsea would be liable to fork out a whopping £30m pay-out if they elected to sack Jose Mourinho according to the Daily Mirror.

The 52-year-old Portuguese manager is under a great deal of pressure after his side’s disastrous start to the Premier League season but Chelsea’s board still back Mourinho to steer the club back up the table.

The West London side have slumped to four defeats in their opening eight Premier League matches, more than the Blues suffered in the entire 2014/15 campaign, and currently sit in 16th place in the table, ten points off leaders Man City.

Mourinho has gone on the offensive in recent weeks, slamming officials and the FA over their treatment of Chelsea, and has also come in for criticism over his treatment of former club physio Eva Carneiro.
