Arsenal bit-part player linked with January La Liga switch

Arsenal keeper David Ospina has been linked with a move to join La Liga side Getafe after finding himself filling in as a back-up to Petr Cech at the Emirates Stadium according to TuttoMercato.

The 27-year-old Colombian joined Arsenal in the summer of 2014 and impressed in the second half of last term but the arrival of Cech has left the former Nice man to warm the bench and his recent poor displays in Champions League action have led to a great deal of criticism and a move to La Liga may prove tempting.

Ospina’s strong displays at the 2014 World Cup finals led to his move to North London but it would be fair to say that his form for the Premier League side has been inconsistent.

Last term Ospina conceded just 11 goals in 18 Premier League appearances and has been Arsene Wenger’s first choice starter in Champions League action this term, Arsenal losing both their opening matches and conceding five goals in the process.
